WHO WE ARE
Marta-Patricia Aparicio, Founder and Managing Director
Marta-Patricia Aparicio y Montesinos has been the founder and managing director of Keymon Ventures since 2017, investing in startups and scale-ups around the world. She is also the co-founder and chairwoman of the Keymon Angels business angel network. She holds an International Master’s degree from IESE Business School and is a CFA Level II candidate. With over 15 years of experience in early-stage equity, she has worked as a portfolio supervisor, investment officer, LP, analyst, advisor, evaluator, and mentor (mentoring 250 entrepreneurs and analyzing over 3,500 startup projects).
Marta has also worked as an evaluator and expert on alternative finance instruments for the European Commission's Horizon 2020 program for innovative SMEs. She is a coach of the EIC and advisor at the EBRD. From 2009 to 2011, she was the general manager of IESE's Business Angels Network and the Spanish Business Angels Networks Association. Prior to that, she held various financial and general management positions in multinational corporations.
Javier Avellaneda, Partner
Javier Avellaneda has developed most of his career in the venture capital and venture building industries. He worked for The Collider (a program from MWCB), Active Venture Partners, and Inveready Asset Management. Over his 15 years of experience in the industry, he has held various positions, including investment analyst, investment associate, portfolio manager, and financial and administration manager. He is passionate about early-stage investments, real estate, and data science.
